Hi there. Substack has rolled out a new feature, called Notes, which is very much like Twitter except that it is not Twitter and also there are no ads. I’m not sure how often I’ll use it, but here’s my intro post (post-edits to fix extremely botched formatting):
If I do use Notes regularly, though, it will probably be, as Substack’s dummy text suggests, for “things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.”
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Bonnie Kristian, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own—again, it’s pretty much the Twitter model, so think: short observations, links, photos, etc. If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
The ? at the end of the title is gold.
I’m enjoying it two days in and I’ve barely peeked at Twitter.
