Bad Sisters is So good. I sadly no longer have Apple TV so have not watched beyond the first 4 episodes. Does Mark works with Lepers in India or South India perhaps?

I am so with you as you support Mark. Years ago, I began to support ones I knew personally. I have often supported those I knew were genuine. Most recently I knew of a man in Ukraine who was helping move families out of harm's way. I was able to support him more directly through a friend. One of the most precious experiences I have had was reading "Kisses from Katie" and visiting the Amazima ministry office in Uganda. That connection led me to meet a couple who work in Nepal. Katie (another one) from Maryland wanted to do mission work and visited 11 nations. Th elocal from Nepal, who started preaching as a child, proposed to her. Boom, Maryland connects with Nepal and I get to ride along. May His kingdom flood the earth, for real!! I am maxed out or I would think about supporting Mark. From another Mark.

I've read for a while (followed you over from CT), first time commenting. I read the FT article you mentioned and sent the following texts to a family member (freely admit the author may think I've misinterpreted some of his points):

I think he goes for hyperbole in places (ie "Jesus said never resist evil" is contradictory to the time he asked if his disciples had a sword or even when he told them to shake the dust from their sandals). I also don't buy the thesis that the wages of sin includes things like metalworking/mining/etc (anything beyond hunter/gatherer). I think people would have still built some form of city sans sin just as they would have been sexually active and built families (the later naturally begats the former).

But I do agree there is a dangerous co-opting of Christianity going around by lots of forces all over the spectrum which has little to do with God. I would argue that's been true since Constantine (and even happens in the Book of Acts). But he makes some interesting points and gives a lot of food for thought, as well as good sources to reference/consider.
